Paint & Refinish
Premium paint work is not "spray it and pray." It's a controlled system: substrate prep, primer stack, sealer strategy, paint selection, booth conditions, gun setup, flash times, and cure schedule. One mistake, contamination, wrong mix ratio, rushed flash time, bad overlap, can ruin an entire coat and force a full redo.
Choosing the Right System
We choose paint systems based on the vehicle and the goal: period-correct single-stage for authentic vintage character, or basecoat/clearcoat for durability and a deeper, high-clarity finish. For pearls, tri-coats, and custom colors, technique control is non-negotiable because inconsistency shows as striping, mottling, or tone mismatch panel-to-panel.
Prep is Where the Job is Won
Prep is where the job is won. We seal correctly, build primers when needed, block for straightness, and use guide coat to reveal imperfections before paint hides them. If it isn't straight in primer, it won't be straight in gloss, it'll just be shiny and wrong.
The result should be clean, consistent, and stable: correct gloss, correct texture, clean edges, and a finish that holds up.
